Welcome to BY C Forum. Rhode Island Reds, Barred Rocks, ISA Brown are very friendly layers. But, this will also depend on how they are raised and the amount of time you spend with them.

I've got the bantams but I used to have a full sized buff rooster he was just a big pet....the bantams I've got now are so friendly

The friendliest chickens . . . are the ones you lovingly raise yourself.

I'd have to agree but there is one type of chicken that I've found are so high strung they dont make good pets at all are the Japanese Bantams..I raise the Black tails and even the ones I've raised freak out over nothing and forget having anything to do with them...

from TN. Old English Game Bantams, are pretty flighty and alot of the roos tend to have attitude problems.
