I am in Northern Virginia, and am researching this winter as I hope to start raising chickens this Spring. We live on an acre, and are new to this. Hoping to raise them for eggs for our family and possibly meat. Looking forward to any suggestions on how to get started, and on learning from all of the forums here. Thank you and Happy New Year!
