Hello ALL. I just read the article on deep litter method. I use DE in my birds feed and bedding, not the food grade. I thought the food grade was bad for chickens but the natural was good for parasites and other bugs.

DE taken internally does nothing to prevent or treat parasites.
DE in the bedding is nothing more than a respiratory irritant.

Years ago, Garden's Alive advertised DE as just about being a wonder product. I bought some instantly. It did nothing!! I even read of humans indulging in some DE, good grief!!
