Greetings! Here is a wonderful thread for Oklahoma with lots of helpful folks from all over the state. Not sure about the OKC area but I know that there is also a thread for Tulsa.
Hi! I got my first chicks yesterday from Atwood's Ranch and Home store #20 in Norman. 6 red sexlets. I am keeping them in a Rubbermaid container in the guest bathroom for now. I am worried my barn is too cold and drafty, plus I don't think it is predator proof. I am just starting my coop. I have a lot of work ahead. I am very concerned about predators because I have seen coyote, dogs, bobcat, skunks, possum, raccoons, big owls, hawks, and have smelled a mountain lion. I have been on this acreage 3 years and have not seen a snake one. Any suggestions are welcomed by this city lady turned country girl.
