Hello from PA

It was about 3 months ago my wife went to the local market and saw eggs for $5/dozen. We eat quite a few eggs so it was a bit of a shock. Friends who have chickens talked us into it (they didn't have to talk to long) :)
I enjoyed building our coop and we are using the old hand built dog kennel for an enclosure. We've had our chickens, 6, for almost a week and I find myself going to the pen just to watch them. I think I'm going to enjoy this :)
Drumstick diva & Michael Oshay, I've never seen "Phil" never been to Gobblers Knob never been to the annual Groundhog Festival. And have no desire to :) Punxytawney is a very small town that once a year for a few days, turns into "party town" and its difficult to even drive through it. No, that isn't for an ole country boy like me.
Thank you all for the welcome :)

Wonderful, you've discovered the joys of chicken tv! You're a quick learner, lol. Glad you're enjoying your flock!
