Hi everyone! Finally got around to joining here, although for quite awhile I have been one of those shy lurkers, quietly picking thru all the wonderful info available here.

We live on 15 acres near Gettysburg, PA, along with several dogs, cats, 1 rabbit, 3 guineas, 2 serama hens, a broad breasted turkey (who escaped from the local processing plant and has spent almost 9 nine years hiding out w/ us) and about 40 Peafowl of various colors and patterns. Oh! And 1 mouse. Just wanted to say you have a wonderful site and forum here.

Hi There! Yes, I know we are on borrowed time with the old gal, but we have done our best to keep her svelte and she is still mobile at this point, so I think she has had a pretty good run. I will miss her terribly when she goes. She will turn 9 this spring, probably weighs 35-40 lbs. and we call her "Turtie Bird", my son named her when he was 3.
