I'm so glad that I've found this forum! I've learned so much already and probably avoided a lot of problems by reading it. My DH is beginning to worry about me though as I spend a little too much time on this site!

1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
This is my first time owning chickens. I brought home day-old chicks on May 11th and have been enamored with them ever since. About half of them are what I call "lap chickens". Those are the girls that will either jump on my lap or shoulder when I sit in the run with them. I will proudly wear the label of "crazy chicken lady"

I play oboe and fiddle.

We also have 1 Australian Shepherd and 1 cat.
