Thank you for the welcome. The pen/hoop coop has been fortified extensively. It was my own stupid fault for half-a$$ing shutting the gate and wiring it shut that night - all it took was a push and a pull from an eager pack of coyotes, and my two dogs (Aussie Shepherd and a young German Shepherd) deciding it was a night to be off-duty, and that was that.
It's been a year since they came up this close, and I got lazy. My girls and one rooster suffered because of it. Will not happen again.
