(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I am new to raising chickens. This past March is got some chicks from my local supply store.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 24
(3) What breeds do you have? I’m not sure on all of them but pretty sure I have some Australorps, Buff Orpington, Silver Laced Wyandotte’s, a golden wyandotte, And Cornish. And as for my others possibly ISA brown, golden comet, Sussex, and Easter Eggers.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Fresh eggs! I also find myself watching them and all their crazy personalities.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I am a mother of 2 boys so any and all sports, gardening, crafting, and I love to take on DIY projects.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. My husband and I are parents of 2 boys, 11 and 8. We love to be outside whether it’s just relaxing by a fire or doing yard work. My husband and I own a business and find being with our boys outside most relaxing and our escape from our sometimes hectic schedule.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I heard about BYC online while researching backyard chickens- I joined because pretty much all my questions asked via google brought me to your website.
