Hello to everyone,
I've been following this forum for awhile but just joined. I live in sunny southern California with my wonderful husband and three kids - ages 19, 18 and 16. We are not exactly new to owning backyard chickens. We had a flock of 5 when the kids were much younger but a transfer out of state forced us to relocate them. After 14 years of moving back and forth across the country and being busy with kids activities we are finally settled down and are starting a new flock of 4. Along with our 2 easter eggers and 2 Buff Orp. we share our home with 2 parrots, 3 cats and a horse. I am employing my son and my daughter's boyfriend (who is still trying to impress my husband and me) in building my coop, which hopefully will be finished soon as the chicks are growing up fast!
