Hi! Welcome to BYC! So happy to hear you are learning about chickens and their coop needs so that you can supply eggs to folks that need them. They will also need a secure run so the dogs can't get them. You can find a lot of information in the Coop and Run forum. It's a good place to post pictures of your current situation and ask for help in securing them from the dogs better. Best of luck to you with your chicken goals!!!

You certainly seem to be of the right mindset! Children definitely learn good lessons, and seem more grounded when they are brought up with chickens. It’s an amusing sight to see a little one happily watching you process a bird. A little startling when they ask you to go kill a chicken so they can have nuggets for dinner.
I wish you luck along your journey, and hope you are able to expand the chicken coop, as well as keep the hungry dogs away.
