Hi gang. Just popping in to say hello. I am a new member of the group, but I have been using this site for the past year. I am just now starting a second flock, as we had dog and neighbor issues last year. I have a little of everything: wyandottes, jersey Giants, reds, leghorns, isas, astrolorps, and black sex links. We just placed them all outside along with our roo, Buddy. We don't know what he is simple he is a mix.

Other than my feathered kids, I have two boys, a husband, two dogs, and four cats. I want a small farm, but as we live in town limits we are starting with something I know we can.

Welcome to BYC!

I'm glad you joined our "flock".

Sounds like you have a nice flock now! I'm sorry to hear about the previous dog and neighbor issues.

Thanks for the welcome guys.

Right now we have the one roo and about 22 pullets. We had one Jersey Giant from last years flock, but since she was the only one left I took her to my parents to socialize with their flock. She is very tame, eats out of your hand, and loves to be held. I can't take her back. She is happy and my parents are attached. Heck, my mom even renamed her Gracie, as she hated the name Peckerhead. She was named because she would peck at me to pick her up when she was little. I hope to learn all I can from the wealth of knowledge you all have.
