Hello from Sunny2022 in central Michigan. We are a retired couple that decided to add chickens to our life fun.

We incubated some eggs from our Grandson's hens, hatched them late Spring. They are a farm mix of 15 hens that are laying now . Then bought a dozen white Leghorn chicks in August and have recently introduced them to the coop. Now we're patiently waiting for them to grow up. In the meantime we' re getting 8 to 10 eggs a day. We have 2 roosters. It's pretty cold here now so we have a heated waterer and recently covered coop in heavy plastic sheeting. They seem happy and are producing.
Welcome to BYC!! Sounds like a great flock!
