Hi. I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Lytorre. I'm a city/suburb dweller, but am thinking hard about getting a few chickens ( 3 or 4) for pets/eggs. Most of my area allows them as long as you keep them 50 yards away from the neighbors and they aren't roosters. I'm here to do a little research and chat with you all as I get ready to become a chicken mama.

from WI. I had a similar thought...3 or 4 chickens....came home with 5. Thinking about adding one or two more come spring. Just have to read up on the - as far as I know unwritten - ordinance. Only thing sure id no roosters allowed.....
