Have been raising and showing livestock (only animal I never showed was a turkey and lamas)since 9 years of age I'm now 35. Have always had chickens around but never serious with them now I'm fascinated with rare or exotic type of chickens and of course showing them. I actually worked for a poultry breeder who raised everything from bantams to peacocks for several years and sold through the San Antonio paper, if I had to venture a guess he kept about 2,000 birds of numerous breeds.

Just found this site and joined today so I'm still stumbling around here if anyone can guide me to an area that has examples of good facilitiy design including incubator & brooder barn quarantine pens breeding pens grow out pens etc etc... I'm not into having some fancy "coops" I see online but more of a workable facility some of you might call it permaculture.

There are many here that are looking into the same things that you are. If you do a search for perma culture you will find several threads dedicated to that. There are loads of threads about coop design and you can browse loads of ideas and fantastic ideas.
