Does an invisible fence really work for the chickens? They can free range and come and go as they please with no problem. The dogs will only get shocked if they cross the invisible fence to get chickens. If they encounter chickens beyond the fence, they won't be shocked.
It's just best to be sure the dogs and chickens never meet. That means locking one or the other up securely and having them stay that way. Too many accidents are waiting to happen if they take turns using the same area.
I am a dog lover but, when the two meet it's the chickens that get killed. I've never heard of a chicken killing a dog. Maybe some future sumo chicken breed will teach dogs a lesson and both species can live in peace.
