My name is Aiwenn. I'm jumping onto the chicken wagon to help me recover from a bad phase in my life. I'm hoping this becomes a life changing thing for me. I'm not sure what I want to do exactly with my newly found interest in chickens, but I suppose we will find out. haha

If anyone else is in the Panhandle of Florida, let me know!

I have a question about chicks (or a chick)! If someone can help out, click here!

Hi Aiwenn and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us.

Here’s a link to the Articles section - https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/ There you’ll find lots of information on almost every aspect of keeping chickens - from coop building ideas, to incubating eggs.

There’s a link on the page above to the Learning Centre - it’s a great resource. If you have a specific topic in mind, just type it in the search box - there's a wealth of information on past and present threads.

Each week, various topics are discussed, which can also be a great resource - https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/topic-of-the-week-thread-archive

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - Find Your State Thread

All the best

Hello from the opposite end of the country! Welcome to BYC! We are happy to help and answer your poultry questions and in time you will acquire enough information to start helping others too. Good luck to you and your future flock. Chickens really are life changing and great for relieving stress and anxiety. When I am feeling sad I go outside and give them treats and hold them and it turns my day around:)
