I actually went ahead and added him to the forum! Turns out he was definitely a "he" but the chicken farmer who came to adopt him said he was one of those rare roosters with hen characteristics and he still wasn't 100% sure he was a rooster til he got Alanna home and he started displaying rooster behaviors.

Anyway, the birb in question is the Speckled Sussex in the front. I got them all as chicks at the end of March, so they're only about 15-16 weeks old and haven't even started laying. Here, (s)he's hanging out with me while I do some work outside:
