Hello from the "Witchens" of Vermont!

Wow, thank you everyone for such a warm welcome! I appreciate all of the hellos and resource recommendations. There's really an unending amount to learn.

Hello from Lamoille County! And congrats to you and neighbor on getting chickens. As you've already figured out, it is super fun!
Ahoy Lamoille, and hello from Chittenden! We were just up there this summer, where we got our coop and first group of chicks. Absolutely gorgeous. :)

Welcome! You remind me of an alternate universe version of myself. Like your Witchens, my + partner's chickens are the "Winterbirbs," referencing the place we live. Witchens is a precious name. We're also not allowed to have roosters here, and I'm sorry you have to find a new home for your Hecate.

Hello, alternate-universe self! I love "Winterbirbs" as well - "birb" is such a satisfying word that really hits the poofballs chickens turn into in winter. I was so curious I had to check out some of your posts. ^^; Your Lavender Orps are absolutely gorgeous.

Thank you for the well-wishes for re-homing Hecate, I appreciate it. :) We'll miss him - he's a greedyguts about treats, sitting on our knees for as long as he can be bribed with mealworms to remain there.
