Hi everyone! I am new to Backyard Chickens, but have been visiting this website for months in preparing for and maintaining my "girls". I would like to thank you all for your posts, information and advice. My girls are just over 10 weeks old and I adore them! I have 10 Buffs and 10 Barred Rocks. Just learning about and observing my chickens has been fascinating and fun for me. We also had Cornish X Rocks, up until the past weekend. (Happy Mothers Day to me!) My husband and I are committed to free range, organic chickens. We have 50 plus head of grass fed cattle on our land and decided to expand. Don't worry, the girls aren't be going to used for meat, only eggs. As I have said before, I love everyone's advice and am willing to help as much as I can.
