Hi yall my name is Jessica and my husband and I started raising chickens about 7 months ago. We have only hens, Rhode island reds silver laced wyndottes and americaunas which we were told were aracaunas when we bought them but oh well they are still pretty lol. We have 4 of each kind. We have a 6x7x7 coop and we use a 15x7 dog kennel butted up to the coop as their chicken yard. We are out in the country but still in a subdivision so we can't let them run around. We have them just for eggs and they started laying a few weeks ago, we are getting around 7 eggs a day right now and they are still working up in size. This is our first time raising farm animals so all advice is appreciated! We also have 2 kids one 6 and one 1 a pomeranian a cat and a fish!
