Hello all,

My name is Stephanie and I am mother to 4 daughters, 1 step daughter, 1 naughty puppyboy, 1 sweet rattieboy and 7 adorable chickiegirls.
They are: Pepper (black barred rock), Lady (Cuckoo Maran), Hazel (red sex link), Honey (buff orpington), Miss Chippy (Ameracauna), Chicken Nugget (black silkie), and Snowball (white silkie).
I love this forum and website and look forward to being a part of things!

Thank you everyone
I grew up with chickens as a child but this venture is new and different. For one, I am the primary caretaker this time around and secondly, they are pets this time solidly so we have a much closer relationship. I have discovered how wonderfully affectionate they are. I never knew this growing up with 250 give or take!

I am not in western Wa, I live right outside of Seattle but you are right...I grew up with a lot of chickens, including rats, butchering, pin feather picking and other nauseating aspects of large quantities of chickens so I am going to do my damndest to not go over 15...>.< LOL OMG, I can't even do THAT because my coop (which is still being built btw...yes, I have House Chickens at the moment) isn't big enough for more than what I have right now.
