Hi y'all! I'm Doni Keplinger, and I love everything chicken, turkey, or duck-related. I have raised chickens for years, although I am still young yet (twenty years old;). I have a small flock of fifteen laying hens, one rooster (Sebastian), two Muscovy ducks (Henry and Hepzibeth (Heppie for short), and a turkey, Tom (how original I know). It can be quite a circus here at times, with Sebastian (Barred Rock) crowing, Tom strutting and gobbling, and Henry and Heppie headed down the creek yet AGAIN! My hens are all colors, all breeds. They include a Salmon Favorelle (dubbed Jezebel because of her attitude when we first got her), two Barred Rocks, two mixed-breed black and white hens, two Golden Buffington? hens, and the rest are Red Stars/Rhode Island Reds. I am currently looking for a hen for Tom and another Muscovy hen for Henry and Heppie. I sell my hens' eggs and use duck eggs for baking. I'm looking forward to participating in Backyard Chickens, and so happy to have found a community that shares one of my favorite hobbies: raising chickens, ducks and turkeys!

@gointothebirdsfarm - A big welcome to the BYC flock! :welcome

How did you hear about BYC? We're sure happy to have you, and thanks for sharing photos and info on all of your birds. What beautiful turkeys! Can't wait to hear more about your experiences with them.

I've only got one...I accidently posted a couple of pictures of Tom;). But yes, he is beautiful...and LOUD! I've been trying my best to find a mate for him, but no success so far. The other pictures are of my duck (Henry, who is a Muscovy, a.k.a turkey duck) and one of my hens. Thank you!
