(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am very new to chickens. I went a little nuts and now they’re calling me the crazy chicken lady… my first flock is now 4 weeks old and I just bought a new one to even out the hen:rooster ratio
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I’m embarrassed…. 38 but 6 of the roosters are going to a good home
(3) What breeds do you have?
Barred rock
Rhode island red
Sapphire gem
Sapphire gem olive egger
Cinnamon queen
Calico princess
Turken
Dark Brahma
Silver Windette?
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I have come to love my chickens so much my favorite aspect is to love on them and watch them play and also when I get to watch them be mamas and of course the eggs lol they’re going to be my best friends
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I don’t get hobbies I am a breastfeeding mama of four kids and I homeschool them lol now I have chickens,kids, 2 dogs 3 ducks and a guinea pig!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found it looking and freaking out over my ducks and everyone was so helpful I hope I can find an amazing community here to help me through my chicken journey
