Thank you! They are for eggs first, with meat secondary. They are kept inside my chicken coop in pens of their own. In warmer months, I put them out in a tractor on grass. They're all penned in so can't fly away. Rarely, one will hop out of their pen & onto the chicken coop floor - this happens when the door is open & they're over excited to get to the food I'm holding. They just stand there confused till I pick them up. I don't clip wings.Thanks, I read you thread on DL method for Quail. Great job. I was wondering what do you do with quail? Like, are they a food source, or pets? What keeps them from flying away?

I admit I do tend to snuggle them & kiss them from time to time - but I try not to do that much in front of DH. >.>
