My layer feed from the local mill is their primary food. I do give a glass full of a mixture of BOSS and Corn every am and pm. I scatter it on the floor and dump some in an old cake pan. about half of the 25 fo for the scratch first and the other go for the feed. I think they have their own system of taking turns and switching off. Or I guess it could be the pecking order that controls who eats what first. the corn that I mixed with the BOSS is what my DH scooped off of the ground around the auger during harvest.
