I picked this guy up at a chicken auction. I was there buying some feeders and nesting boxes, when all of a sudden he flies out of the auctioneers hands and wacked my wife in the head as he flew by. So I needed a Roo and this guy was interesting so we got him and his name is flyby. He is a smaller bird and its funny when he tries to get bossy with my speckled Sussex because she towers over him( she knows it too).

Thank you in advanced. Also the hen in the back ground of the third picture someone told me she is a green leg blue face hatch does that sound right?

I do believe your right about the OEG but he is a little bigger than the bantam version. Sense the OEG is a small bird do you think he is still a bantam?

Whatever he is crossed with might have been a small standard breed, then he would be sort of in between.

He could also be one of the many types of american gamebird. Some have oriental blood and they can have pea comb genes, and a lot of them are small in size.

Looks like a red pyle OEGB from what I can see. I don't think his comb looks mixed with a pea comb, just looks like he either lost the points or just had a very poor comb to start with. His size and funky comb could mean he's just poorly bred, or possibly outcrossed a few generations back.

It does look like he may have some frostbite damage to his comb. He has comparatively small wattles, though, so I think he does have some washed down pea comb genetics.
Does he have a dewlap [a fold of loose skin under the beak, between the wattles, can be feathered or unfeathered] ? it does look like he has a bit of one, but it is hard to tell for sure on the pictures.

I agree about his points being lost, possibly from cold?

Thank you all so much it has helped knowing what kind of Roo he is. Griffinsong I do not know if he as one and to be honest he hates it when i catch him. He doesn't mind being around but just not handled. Well as far as winter cold damage the coop i have for all my birds is weather proof and climate controlled so good home for everyone.
