Correction, coop is 4' x 10'

Correction. The RUN is 4x10. It just makes the minimum size for 4 birds and the coop section is too small. That is why they don't roost in it. You will want to expand the run in the sprin.
Just fair warning, those prefab coops are not well built and don't last long.

Welcome! This is a great place to learn what ou need, fast. I agree they'll want more Coop Space when you can. Long Pallets can make that fairly easy. A corner of a garage with a chickie door to the run added can be a great night shelter too. Maybe they'll use the existing coop for laying. It would be nice for teen age Chicks. Have fun!
