No still thinking about the design and location. They will be newborn so they will be in a big plastic tub with a heat light for a couple months. How many brooding boxes do I need for 15 chick's? Do the males need one or only the hens?Welcome to BYC!
Have you built a coop yet?

You mean a couple of weeks correct?
Build you a large walk-in coop now and you can brood your freshly hatched chicks in it.
Those plastic tubs you're thinking about will work for a couple of days.
Chicks grow extremely fast.
15 chicks in one tub is not going to work you'll need at least two for the first few days and then you will need four by the end of the week.
