TOTALLY agree..esp when I moved here from Calif and they allowed my parents to have chickens in a suburban citys yard on 1/10th acre. Some towns in counties around us are allowing it but I have found most in Warren county don't.Welcome from western Ohio! I’m north of you, but used to lived in Hamilton county, not too far from Warren county.
I think it’s very silly when there are several-acres-required restrictions on small farm animals. 5 acres for a flock of chickens is pretty ridiculous. I can understand acreage requirements on larger animals, but chickens, rabbits, goats, ducks, and even turkeys shouldn’t require much land especially when just for personal use/enjoyment.
