Oahu
This is my first year raising chickens, I bought hatching eggs from ebay and tried hatching eggs direct from Bresse farms. I live on Oahu, so it takes one to two weeks for eggs to arrive. Some ebay orders hatched and some failed. In addition, I bought two batches of a dozen american bresse hatching eggs direct from bresse farms and failed on both attempts. The eggs were scrambled when I opened to check them.

I ended up with two Jersey Giant hens and two Jersey Giant roosters, one white rhode island rooster, three buff orpington roosters and one buff hen, 2 lemon cuckco orpington hens, two black austrolorp hens and one black austrolorp rooster, 4 white bresse chicks and about six bresse eggs from ebay in my incubator.

:welcome

Hello, it's nice to have you here with us! Sorry for the hatching issues...it's my understanding shipping takes a toll on eggs. It does sound like you ended up with a nice mixed flock, maybe sometime you could share pictures with us.

Best wishes!

Two of my Bresse chicks has crooked toes, probably from in breeding brother and sister. I will try to breed my white Rhode island rooster with this line to reinvigorate it. My cockerel are 4 months old and they started abusing the females. Its starting to get crazy over here, there is one dominant buff orpington cockerel that chases all the other cockerels around none stop until they are a bloody mess. I just bought a plucker from hatching time, it will be arriving this wednesday. I hope this small unit works https://hatchingtime.com/collection...ers/products/chicken-plucker-for-1-2-chickens
