Hello, my name is AZurbanclucker and I may be a cluckoholic.

Haha that's how it seems to be adding up for us too. We were already looking for a piece of property where it's OK to have peafowl as well, so I'd expect once we find the right place we'll end up with more birds.

My 16 year old may have already messaged numerous people looking for peafowl hatching eggs!!

I grew up in a small town on the AZ/CA/MX border, and my Godfather was a citrus farmer. He raised a number of unusual birds over the years, but peacocks were his favorites. He had 40 or so running the property for a long time, and I've got fond memories of them from that time in my life.

We can't have them where I live now, but it's one of the things on the list for consideration as we try to find a new place.

Welcome!

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Most of these are shot with my mobile. One of my more expensive hobbies is photography, and as our flock mature there will be plenty of pix coming. :)
