where having a neighbor is even more funny than the sign? Sadly, I moved somewhat into town this year

I personally couldn't care less about my post count, but I do try and welcome every new member that posts if I see them when I'm on. I remember how much it meant to me when I first joined to feel welcome.

It only takes a minute even with my "hunt n peck" typing to be nice to someone new. I'm seldom on during the day because of work, but I spend several hours most every night on BYC reading everyone else's post. I only respond to maybe one out of every fifty that I read.
I've had chickens for forty plus years and I learn something new every day. I'm wading through all the color genitics post right now. Still doesn't really click with me yet, but I'm starting to grasp it.
And yes, there are a few members on here that I'll read any section they post on no matter what thread it's on. Some because they are nice, some because I often learn from them and others just to see what crazyness they are up to.
