Hello,
My husband and adult children convinced me to get some chickens this spring. We got 2 Barneveldts, 2 Golden Sex Link and 2 Buckeye. They are now 5 weeks old, spending their first night in the coop, I am so nervous for them to be out.
I may need to post this somewhere else, but when I was putting them out today I saw that the Barneveldts tail feathers are being picked off and one of them has a really red and raw spot where the feathers have been picked. I read on another post that I could use neosporin on it so I washed it off and put neo on it. But I know the Goldens pick on the Barneveldts, I have suspicion that they did the feather picking on the Barneveldts, but is there anything I can do?

The feather picking could be that they are bored or crowded. You can buy Blukote at the feed store to spray on the picked areas, as it might help deter the others from further picking.
