What kind of set up do you have? I'm wondering if they're lacking on space. Sometimes chickens peck each other because they're too cramped and are bored or they have a nutritional issue.

Glad to meet you. As people have said, more space may take care of the problem soon. But in the meantime, separating the birds, or disguising the pick spots is a good idea.

Thank you everyone for the warm greetings and the advice.

I do believe their brooder was getting too small for them and that is one reason why I felt it was time to move them to their coop. Last night seemed to go well for them. I am hopeful that the added space will stop the picking. I am headed to the feed store today to look for Blukote or pick nomore, whichever I can find. If the picking continues I will definitely separate the two breeds and see how it all goes from there.
