I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. If you ever decide to have chickens, I would suggest you get a couple young chicks. When they grow up with you, they will not seem over whelming. They are clumsy and fall over a lot - but get right back up and check out something else. In short chicks are adorable and much smaller than adult birds.

Otherwise, it is just fine if you don't think chickens are for you. We have great people at BYC and everyone has their own story to tell. Just reading the stories on here are very entertaining and I find I learn something everyday.
