Hello! New to chicken raising. We recently got 10 chickens. The Texas heat is a battle. I have a fan blowing into the coop and frozen water bottles.

We are having a heat wave in NY too. But I bet yours is worse.

Yes our projected high was 108 today, but I think it is only going to get to 105 here. It’s been over 100 for some time.

My hens love cold watermelon (me too)! Also have lots of shady spots & cool dirt to dig in. Hope it cools off soon!
