Hi, my name is Shane and I live in Newcastle NSW Australia. I'm 52 and Married with 6 kids and 8 grandchildren.
On Saturday I had my birthday and was given a new chicken coop with 4 Isa brown chicken pullets (I have wanted chickens for a while and am now on a property).
I am stoked, love watching my new girls and caring for them.
My journey is just beginning with chickens. Just started building a secure large run for them as we also have 6 dogs and two local wild ducks that often roam the area. Animals already getting used to each other after gradual introductions and a Sturm reminder that "We don't eat family members!"
Looking forward to talking to other raisers and learn a little along the way, any tips are most welcome.
