Hello! New to the community

Hi y'all. I just wanted to jump in feet first. I'll use the template, but also elaborate.

1. (1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens......................................I am new to chickens, but not new at all to birds.
2. (2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4 roosters 7 hens...I think. I'm still getting to know them
3. (3) What breeds do you have? I'm not sure. My original rooster is an Easter egger. That's all I know. I was hoping for some assistance in figuring that out.
   
   (4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? Everytime I search for information, it pops up.
   
   (5) What are some of your other hobbies?
   Currently, I also make reborn dolls. I used to breed show mice. And at one point, quail and finches. I also used to do endurance running.
   (6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I have 4 kids. All of which adore the chickens. I'm really interested in breeding my birds at some point. But first I wanted to learn everything I can about genetics, care and general chicken behavior

You can post some pictures of your chickens on the Breed or Gender Forum for opinions as to what they are etc.

If you have not found it yet, BYC has a Genetics & Breeding Forum

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

You might want to also Find Your State Thread and pop in and say hello.

Personally, I have found the Topic of the Week articles a great resource and a one stop shop for questions which may have already been discussed within the BYC membership group.

If you would like to share more pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out
