I have a backyard flock of silkies. We built our coop just over a year ago and love having fresh eggs and cute pets. We don’t eat them because silkies aren’t really made for that and I don’t think we could bring ourselves to slaughter them. They are definitely pets. We got them from a breeder that shows them and is also a poultry judge. We still have a lot to learn but have already had some experience resolving problems. Look forward to sharing and learning with you all!
