Hi everyone!

I'm an Aussie and a lifelong chicken lover & owner, but haven't owned any since I left home to go to uni.

Two weeks ago I finally brought home my own little flock of ladies; Capuchon, an Old English Game bantam, Digby Grounds, a Wyandotte bantam, Renesmee, a Polish bantam, and Babs, a Silkie x Belgian bantam.
Poor Capuchon came down with a respiratory infection within a day of getting her so we've had a fun & educational experience going back and forth to the vet, taking lots of different meds, and slowly seeing her quirky personality emerge as she feels better. She now holds the esteemed title of the most expensive chicken I've ever owned, coming in at about a dollar a gram (Fingers crossed it's a record that will not be broken anytime soon...).

When I'm not busy babying Capuchon and convincing the other girls that I'm a great source of treats, I work as an Art Director in the healthcare space.

I'm a chronic lurker but I do hope to share things here occasionally - I love how trainable chooks are so I'm planning to teach these gals some tricks!
