Hello, Newbie here.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.

Does this coop that you purchased offer 4 sq ft of floor space per bird not including the nest boxes? Will you build a large attached predator-proof run for them that provides at least an additional 15 sq ft of space per bird? That's what they're going to need. They also need as close to 1 sq ft of permanently open ventilation per bird in the coop to prevent moisture buildup and frostbite during cold weather.
Hi, great questions. I have 12 sq ft of floor space, and 3 nesting boxes in my coop. There is 16 sq ft of open space under the coop and I have added on a preditor safe run that has40 sq ft of open floor space.
I have dug around the run and coop 6 inches and installed hardware cloth to help make my coop safe from the critters that need to stay out. I have been doing a lot of research.
I am going to get a Wyandotte chicken, and a Barred Rock chick. Contemplating a third chicken, but am happy with just two.

I agree with @sourland, 3 (or more) is better than just 2. Chickens are flock animals and if anything happens to one of your two, that would leave a lonely only.
