Hello! Newbies for chicken raising here

Hello!

My husband and I just bought an acreage home and are so excited to finally have chickens! It appears this site will be very helpful for learning tips and treasured ideas

We are looking to buy 8 chicks, however are attempting to get their coop ready before purchasing them. We would like chickens that have high egg-yield, a variety of brown and white eggs, and we do not plan to have the chickens for meat, just pets! Love the idea of watching them grow and play around!

We are very outdoorsy people, love camping, hiking, boating, kayaking and gardening!

We do not have any children, yet.. but are hoping to soon! For now, we just have our sweet kitty cat.

I found BYC by doing online research on building our own chicken coop. Hope we will be able to acquire step-by-step plans for the "Noyolkscoop" as we love it! Please help me find the plans
