They are in a bigger one now. That's the pic I decided to post when I first got them about 3wks ago.The temp drops really low at night. I can't put them outside yet. The coop should be ready for them in the next 2wks. Right now they are in a bigger brooder I made last week.

I’m new to chickens so please forgive me if I call something the wrong term. I swear I’m gonna get it correct! Lol
I have 4 straight run’s recently learning I actually have white silkie bantams. Their names are Duncan, Daisy, Webb, and Boca! All girls! I’m in the process of designing a coop with attached run. I’m good with building being as I actually build furniture. I’m eager to learn. Whatever advice you feel I need to know please tell me. Hello... by the wings. Females have layers and boys feathers are even.

I'm sorry but this only works with certain breeds. Silkies aren't one of them. Some people have DNA testing done on silkies because it is so hard to sex them.

Silkies are notoriously hard to sex. Feather sexing is not one of the ways to do so. You won't be able to tell their genders until at least 10 weeks old, and even then you may have to wait longer.

I think @pennyJo1960 meant to say something along the lines of Silkies usually wait late before they start crowing or laying eggs compared to other breeds. This also adds to the confusing of gender.

Ohhh welp, thank you for clearing that up. I was confused.

I guess I'll cross that when it's rime. Hoping they are correct being as the hatchery verified it and I have another order of female/pullets coming.
