My name is orphie and I'm selling my big house and downsizing to a smaller one with a big yard in a chicken-friendly community. At least I think they're chicken-friendly. There are no specific code banning chickens, only noise, neglect and nuisance codes. Got the book "Little House in the Suburbs" and ordered "The Art of the Chicken Coop." My son and I are looking forward to keeping 4-5 layers in a stationary coop. We have two dogs and an indoor cat. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey! I'm in Kansas right now too! In a suburb of KC along the state line. We plan to move to the Raymore MO area this summer (if we can sell our house). Thank you for the informative links. My son and I are really enjoying the preparation phase of this adventure!
