The rooster would likely attack the hens because it’s not used to them. Try to gradually get the hens and roosters together, if I were you, I’d let the rooster with the hens, but watch and if the roo attacks, separate them for a bit, and then bring them back together. Once they get adapted to eachother, look every 5 mins and once they are good, look whenever you want.


Would I be better raising more and the putting them with the 2 hens. They are New Hampshire hens

Quarantine means to keep the new bird housed FAR away from your current flock for a few weeks to make sure it isn't sick/carrying a disease that could infect your flock.
Unfortunately people sell sick birds.
Be very careful about who and where you buy adult birds from.

Thanks. I appreciate the info. If I raise some more will I need to quarantine them from the current two hens that I have?
