Hi! I just joined. I am new to this chicken raising and already hooked. Theres alot to this than I first thought. i am open to any and all advice, tip, pros & cons I can get. I am in Sunny Northern part of California. I wonder, can you paint the coop? If so what type of paint? I can't find anything about if you can paint your coop or seal it with Thompson's water seal. Any advise???

you can pait your coup but make sure the paint smell leaves before you put chickens in it

Yes you can paint the coop I would stray away from painting the roosts or bottoms of the nesting boxes but i think that is more a personal preference that a rule

Make sure all is Dry dry dry before you let the Ladies in the coop.

Have fun and check out the learning center lots of great articles.
