The first one might be difficult, but then you remember it’s food. You were kind to it, and it was happy. It also helps if you always tell yourself that they are delicious.

Haha, don't feel bad! I've been throwing the meat bird thought around for many moons and haven't taken the leap yet. One of these days;)
 
Thank you so much for such a warm welcome! My hubby has raised birds before so I’m super lucky to have a little inside knowledge (and someone who will do “the deed”). Ironically the two mean roosters I mentioned are also meat birds. I knew going into this we would eat the roosters. I just had no idea how many roosters I would have! Out of my 8 ducks. I have two confirmed females. That is a scary amount of Drake’s for just two little ladies. I just keep hoping because they are so young still some are just late quakers. So far only seen one drake feather so there is hope! Lol
