It's our first bunch of chickens, and we've had them for about 3 years. Absolutely love them! (Love the eggs too!) We've gone through quite a lot with them, though, mites, and damaged tissue...etc... Wanted to join up to ask questions and get advice about sour crop. BYC has been a great website for us! Thanks!

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. You might want to check out our sour crop threads at https://www.backyardchickens.com/newsearch?search=sour+crop. Also, definitely post on our Emergencies/IDiseases/Injuries and Cures section in Raising Backyard Chickens under the Forum at the top of the page and take advantage of our health experts there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Welcome to the Backyard chickens flock. Sometimes the faster way to advice is - the search box. For instance put "sour crop," and search that. I am not very techy so this is a great way for me to find things.

One of the articles in the Learning Center goes into a lot of detail about crops and how to tell the difference between impacted, slow and sour crop. You might find this helpful:

Good luck with your flock, thanks for joining us!

Hello!

Welcome to BYC and the coop! There's a lot of great peeps here! Feel free to ask lots of questions. But most of all, make yourself at home. I'm so glad you decided to join the BYC family. I look forward to seeing you around BYC.

I diffidently feel at home here! Love chatting with chicken lovers from all over! And the great thing is, most of these chicken lovers will do things like bath their chickens in sinks, which some of our friends diffidently wouldn't- wouldn't even let the chicken in the house. Love the great ideas, advice, and the people! Thank you so much, BYC!
