G’Day from down under chick-egger [IMG] Welcome!

At the risk of being an enabler which is probably not a problem because it sounds likes the chicken-math bug has already bitten you [IMG], I definitely recommend having more than two. Sadly, we do lose our feathered friends along the way and if you only have 2 and lose 1, the remaining chicken can be very lonely and a mad dash is required to find her a friend and having to waive quarantine etc .. been there, done that, got the T-shirt and now have 5 little bantams [IMG]

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures that feature our feathered and non feathered friends [IMG]

It's nice to have you here! Before you get your new birds, check out the Learning Center for information about isolation & integration. Isolating new birds away from your existing ones will give you time to be sure they are pest and disease-free. Integration is how you introduce the new to existing birds...it takes time for them to get used to one another.

    Good luck and best wishes!
